FIM Advantages for Best Performance

PT. Federal Izumi Manufacturing offers high-quality pistons with precision and durability, designed to support optimal engine performance, and is produced at a high-volume production facility in Indonesia. Trusted by leading global brands (OEMs), mechanics, and users for a variety of standard, modified, and racing vehicles.

Advanced Materials and Production Technologies

Using Japanese standard materials (JIS) with the best quality aluminum which is proven to be strong and heat resistant.

Precision & High Quality Control

All production processes are carried out in FIM's own factory, using advanced precision measuring tools such as CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) to ensure dimensional accuracy.

Ease of Application & Product Flexibility

A wide range of products are available (Plug & Play, High Comp., Bore Up, Custom, Forged, and Special) for various global motorcycle types.

Approved By OEM & Racing Team

Supplying pistons to major OEMs (Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, etc.) and collaborating with racing teams for the development of forging products.

Continuous Innovation & Astra Support

Under Astra Otoparts and MAHLE Engine Components Japan Corp, FIM actively conducts research & development of piston and non-piston products.

Piston Manufacturing Process

01

Casting Process

This method involves pouring molten aluminum metal into a mold to form a rough piston. The casting process is ideal for mass-producing standard vehicle pistons, which require good durability for daily use while maintaining optimal cost efficiency.

02

Forging Process

The forging process uses repeated high pressure on solid aluminum billets without melting. The result is a piston with a denser grain structure, higher tensile strength, and the ability to withstand extreme temperatures and pressures. Forged pistons are the go-to choice for high-performance, heavy modification, and professional racing applications.

CNC Process (Computer Numerical Control)

A precision finishing stage controlled by computer to turn, drill, and shape pistons to a dimensional tolerance of ±0.004 mm. This covers ring groove formation, piston pin bores, and complex oval profiles unachievable by conventional machines. All CNC-machined results are verified with a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) to ensure consistency and accuracy for every piston.
